never in her life had stephanie lauter felt so cold--- or well not everything felt cold. it's a strange sensation. on one hand, it felt like her skin was on fire, burning, aching, throbbing, but everything she touched, the air that hit her skin felt cold- not cold enough to soothe the aching feeling. it felt like she’s sleeping partially, she could think, she could observe, she could roam, but she knew at the same time, she wasn't. something had happened. something final. something horrifying. something painful and far from quick, nothing felt real at least, not until she looked down and saw first large bite mark on her right arm- she reached and felt the same across her neck, and then looked and saw crimson staining her hand that she could not wipe away now matter how frantically she pushed her hand at her pants. over and over, only stopping as a familar voice filled her ear.
